CORE INFORMATION

FLAGS: Strategic points used for conquering or defending based on the current game mode.
EXPLOSIVES: Tools to divert attention or strategically win matches when used effectively.
LIFTS: Quickly transport players or items between floors, offering strategic advantages for winning matches.

One enhancement I could make is to reassess my line of sight; some seem unnecessarily long in my opinion. Additionally, I believe my flanking options could be strengthened, as they currently feel somewhat weak.

One of the challenges encountered during this project was integrating IWALS movements. This introduced additional metrics to manage, including climbing, crouching, and more, which was both challenging and enjoyable to learn.

RESPONSABILITIES

RESEARCH

When conducting research, I typically watch gameplay videos or play the game myself, if possible. Afterward, I create a Miro board to organize and analyze the information.

METRICS AND DOCUMENTATION

Before beginning my design process, I establish the metrics for my level in a LDK and create a first 2D layout. This step is crucial for achieving the right game feel.

CREATING A FUN EXPERIENCE

Throughout this project, I focused on ensuring that my level design metrics with IWALS were engaging, incorporating elements such as climbing to strategic spots, crouching, and vaulting.

FEEDBACK & ITERATIONS

Another key responsibility of mine was gathering feedback from peers and instructors to ensure that my level met industry standards. If necessary, I iterated on the design based on their input.

“With a fair understanding of the development pipelines in Unity and Unreal Engine. My practical experience showcases a keen understanding of the game development process.
Additionally, I have successfully navigated projects using engines like GameMaker, demonstrating versatility and fearlessness in embracing new challenges. “
